Ingrid Walden: Counselling for Positive Therapy
Supervision for student counsellors and other workers

Support for Counsellors

If you are a staff counsellor, if you are working in health, social services, care support roles or in the voluntary sector then you may either require supervision as part of your career development or as support of your career development.

Ingrid works in a collaborative way, exploring your experiences and feelings arising from your practice. You will be supported in the way you choose to work with the client to obtain positive outcomes.

Supervision covers best practice, standards, ethics and professional issues. The sessions can cover theoretical frameworks, client transference and other counsellor support.

You may be assisted to make sure you have not missed any nuances of a client's history and to ensure the personal challenges brought to you as a counsellor are held and managed.

Professional Standards

Professional bodies such as the BACP require all counsellors to be supervised.

Ingrid provides professional supervision for counsellors, trainee therapists and others. There are 60 and 90 minute sessions available, either monthly or at other periods.

Together you ensure that the client's needs are being met in the best way possible, receiving the highest quality of therapeutic support.

Your supervision will remain private and appropriately confidential as will any of your client's details and history.

Supervision for other professionals is also available.
